Elizabeth Bower Kent is a native Chicagoan and a dedicated injury attorney with nearly 30 years of extensive courtroom experience. Her deep roots in the city, combined with her decades of legal advocacy, provide her clients with a powerful "home-field advantage" 

in both state and federal courts.

A Foundation in Prosecution

Elizabeth began her distinguished career as an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. During her eight-year tenure, she prosecuted high-stakes felony cases, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated stalking, and Class X felonies. This intensive background required her to work daily with law enforcement, forensic experts, and medical professionals to build airtight cases.

Trial-Tested Expertise

While in the public sector, Elizabeth handled over 350 preliminary hearings and more than 200 bench and jury trials. This vast trial experience is a rare asset in personal injury and workers' compensation law, where many cases are settled out of court. Elizabeth’s readiness to take a case to a jury ensures that insurance companies and employers take her clients' claims seriously.

Advocating for the Injured

After more than a decade in public service, Elizabeth transitioned into private practice to represent individuals facing life-altering challenges. For the past 20 years, she has focused exclusively on helping clients navigate Illinois Workers’ Compensation and personal injury litigation.

Elizabeth holds a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and has been a licensed member of the Illinois Bar since 1996. Today, she uses her formidable litigation skills to secure justice and financial recovery for injured workers and accident victims across Chicago and the state of Illinois
